Coufal- Prater RTK Network

StarFire^TM RTK provides highly accurate corrections to the AutoTrac^TM guidance system. It utilizes a local, ground-based reference station that transmits the high-accuracy corrections to a vehicle StarFire receiver via RTK radios. Because of the proximity of the base station to the vehicle, nearly all GPS drift is eliminated, and the position is highly repeatable. In order for the base station signal to reach the vehicle, a direct line-of-sight is required. Coufal-Prater has put together a 12 tower system with coverage from Hockley to Bartlett and Highbanks. We are currently looking at putting up RTK equipment in the Taylor/Hutto area. For more information about StarFire RTK click here.
